The current evacuated area is bounded by Scotch Moss, Spencer Hwy., Canada Rd. and Oak Haven.

As far as the pipeline fire itself is concerned, the line has been isolated so the remaining fuel can burn itself out safely. Responders and LPPD patrols will remain on site in areas impacted by the flames and heat.

Evacuated residents may contact the pipeline owner Energy Transfer, at 855-430-4491, for claims related to the event. Evacuees with animals should contact the City of La Porte’s Animal Shelter at 10901 Spencer Highway or 281-842-3700.
