HOUSTON – Authorities are piecing together what led up to a person’s death in southwest Houston after their body was found by police when they were responding to a shooting call.

Details are limited, as it’s an active investigation, but the Houston Police Department says officers were called just before 7 a.m. Harwin Drive in the Mahatma Gandhi District.
Homicide detectives are en route to 7598 Harwin Drive near Fondren Road after a person was found fatally shot in a strip center parking lot about 6:55 a.m.
One person has been detained at the scene.

Responding officers found one person dead in a strip center parking lot, but do not know who shot and killed them.
Homicide detectives are looking into what happened as part of their investigation.
