Wednesday’s Forecast:
Wednesday’s forecast will be much like today – sunny, hot and humid with temperatures in the upper 90s with another day of triple-digit “feels-like” temperatures.
Summer Remains In Charge This Week:
A hot dome of high pressure continues to dominate our weather pattern for most of this week and into the coming weekend. Part of the culprit is a large mid-level high pressure ridge that is centered across Mexico, largely influencing our weather pattern.
Tracking the Tropics:
We are watching the long range forecast for the tropics that suggests there could be formation between September 25 and October 1st in the area below shaded in dark red. All of our models have any development headed to Florida. The benefit of our high-pressure system is it would block us from any tropical systems that would form.
The National Hurricane Center began monitoring this system at 7PM Tuesday night. They say there is a 20% chance of development over the next week and a 0% over the next two days.
10-day Forecast:
We stay dry. Highs will be in the 90s, but morning lows will be comfortable in the mid-70s! The start of fall is Sunday, but it will still feel like summer here in SE Texas.
