HOUSTON – Houston police are piecing together a tragic situation Monday night when they said a man (believed to be a Harris County deputy constable) shot and killed a woman before turning the gun on himself.
Shortly before 8:15 p.m., officers with the Houston Police Department were called to an apartment on Briar Forest off Hwy 6.
That’s where investigators found a woman shot several times in the apartment’s living room. A man’s body was also found in the bedroom with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
Police have not identified either of them yet, but HPD Commander Hasig says they believe the man is a deputy constable with Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.
As of this writing, no additional details have been shared, but an investigation is currently being conducted.
